i was playing a video game called "silent hill" (no this is not the game you think it is, i don't know what it is either, might be a bootleg maybe?). it was an old ps1 game that was first person and you explored weird looking places (kinda like lsd dream emulator) and it was scary as fuck even though there were no jumpscares or spooky stuff at all. apparently it was on a portable version of ps1 (which looked like gameboy advance smh) so i was going to play it while i was walking at night (who in their right mind plays videogames while walking??) (i guess i do :/). i started the game up and my character spawned in some kind of a graveyard. it was night in the game and there were no sounds at all not even my characters walking sounds. anyways i was way too scared to play the game so i closed it and decided that i should just refund the game. i went to some kind of a shopping district, there were all kinds of shops there and there was even a music shop which sold autographs of akira yamaoka (it's the silent hill ost guy, there was even a subplot about him in my dream but i can't remember it, sorry...). anyways, i tried to find the shop that i bought the game from but... nothing! for some reason the shop i bought it from disappeared. so i kept walking, i walked and i walked... then, i found a picnic table. there were a lot of school bags on it and i saw my phone laying on the schoolbags. i was shocked because i didn't even realise that i lost my phone. then i thought to myself "man this game sucks" and somehow opened a menu irl as if it's a videogame and i exited life. then, i found myself in the videogame i was trying to refund.
i was in the graveyard and it was so quiet. i started walking around, trying to find an exit but then i heard a super loud noise. i think it was a lo-res screaming noise and it scared the hell out of me and i woke up. i was shaking at that moment but when i write it down like this i just realised that this was waaay scarier in my head.
maybe i should stop playing silent hill :/
08/08/24 edit - i tried to make the text more interesting so i tried to add dramatic effect by using italics or stuff like that but now i'm starting to think that it just looks cringe af and at this point i'm too lazy to turn it back to the way it was so, sorry!!
